I love music
One of my favourite pastime is to croon..i croon to all sorts of tunes; off-tune, wrong tune, no-tune, much to the dismay of my sisters. Each time I start singing my heart out (read: the whole house boomed with my voice each time i had the urge to croon), they'd ask me to shut up. literally. They'd say " Can you shut up or not?" or "Oh no! She starts again!" Their cries fall on deaf ears.
The karaoke system is my favourite at home. But the songs selection at home is so mediocre that I resorted to acapella singing most of the time. Just the mic and me. Heh! narcissistic, am i not? mb doesn't really like singing in public or frequent karaoke places but I do. So far, we've gone for 2 karaoke sessions at Hitz Studio at Delfi Orchard and the latter session lasted for 4 and 1/2 hours. Mb kept asking me " Aren't you tired?" Even though he sang, I hogged the mic most of the time. Selfish, aye? ;)Singing helps me to de-stress, Sometimes before sleeping, I'd sing one whole song on my comfy bed. This time round, I'd hum it for my own listening, save the rest.
I read somewhere, quite sometimeback, that the music we listened to can influence our character or our reaction towards things. The article mentioned that a person who is under pressure or feeling troubled may feel suicidal when listening to heavy metal music of sorts. The article cited a few other examples but i can't exactly remember now. Anyways, it's along the same line as the above eg. I think music has an effect on everyone..perhaps, listening to a sad song when you're already sad could make you break down and cry?
Music is inevitable in our lives. Even when we were resting in the safe coccoons of our mom's before stepping into this BIG BIG WORLD (read: harsh), we were already introduced to the soft vibrations aka music of our mom's voiceS. And, the moment we we were born, we CRY! cry is a form of music too rite? There's the decibel, pitching etc. ;)
Enjoy music.. the songs of yesteryears that bring back eventful memories..songs of today and ..songs of the future..
So, Weave the music. Don't get trap. Chihuahua! *Coca-Cola Ad*
