i must write about this. I know i am way past the teen-age to go ga ga over celebrities and the like but y can't i anyway? Anyways, a bunch of friends and i, went to the media conference for the new movie starring
JERRY Yan and Sammie Cheng over at Junction 8 today at Bishan. It was impromptu. I only knew about it when my kaki asked. It was not a wasted trip. The star of the conference was of course, who else but
JERRY Yan. And, once you see him in the flesh, seeing him on tv is nothing.
Jerry is
very handsome and charming in person. He was dressed in black. Black jacket and black turtle neck sweat shirt. The crowd, mostly teenage girls but there are working women dressed in power suits and all mind you, were hysterical and screaming way before their appearance. Anti-climax. Everyone thought they had reached but no. They were supposed to be at the conference at 7pm but they only reached at around 7:40pm or so..And once Jerry appeared, you guessed it! the crowd went wild! The crowd went, "Oh my gawd. he's so cute. So cute. So handsome!" I can vouch for that. Flawless skin with height. There was this lady, think should be ard 40+, who shoved and elbowed people at her sides. Sick. And, i was one of her victim. and, someone conveniently rested her elbow on my friend's shoulder to capture jerry's pic! Goodness! We were not very far from the stage but because there were tall people standing in front of us, our views were blocked intitially. Had to constantly tip toe to see them. Then we slowly made our way to the front given any opportunity and voila! Perfect view! Phew! Oh, by the way,by THEY i meant Jerry, Maggie Q and the other actress- don't know her name but she's Miss Hongkong. Maggie Q is very pretty in a class of her own and the other actress is not too bad looking either
BUT the
star of the show is not anyone else but Jerry. The actresses are just sidekicks. I am an adolescent all over again. So eventful!
I am glad i decided to watch MG to see what the commotion was all about. I can now empathise with all of its fans. Entertainment, give me more!
