i intended to change my blog skin..but am even too lazy to browse through the skins...ahakz! i am really a paranoid freak..if there's something tt's bugging me, it'll not get out of my head until i get the clarification..sheesh! wat can i do now even if so badly want to clarify this new performance managment system reviewing officer thing with OHR and my boss ? I am not at work and it's the weekend, suppose to put all these aside...i am so bad, really bad at switching off. urgh! can't stand myself at times..
i find it strange and odd that the reviewing officer of this new performance mgmt system is not my direct supervisor as the heads of depts cannot become the reviewing officer. Wouldn't that make the appraisal inaccurate and will be to the disadvantage of the reviewees (me) as we do not work that much or as closely with the reviewer in comparison to our direct supervisor? The reviewer would not really know how we work, the tasks given, the process of getting the tasks done, the time taken to complete the tasks by the reviewee and so on and so forth. On what basis would he appraised us then? And the Heads are only suppose to countersign? If this is really how it is going to work, then the appraisal is not a justified one as it'll be totally inaccurate. The appraisal would not be a fair one unless of cos' the head is able to override the appraisal by the reviewing officer or if he is able to provide his inputs in the appraisal as well. All submissions(work) are sent to the head and I worked very closely with my head of dept on a daily basis and receive most instructions from him than the rest. I do support the rest of the dept staff but he is in actual fact my direct supervisor. This is THE burning question I've had since yesterday evening, I can't wait to get the clarification from my head and HR. I would get the clarification from my boss first and if it's really the case, i'd reflect to HR.. hmmm...
