An attempt to inject some humour to myself in my already vexed state. No. What i want to say is:
I have decided. PCs HATE ME
For the record, My PC crashed again for the 2ND TIME! Can you beat that? It was alive only for 1 day. Just yesterday and today it crashed! AGAIN! ARGH!
PCs hate me. Wherever I go, they will play a big joke on me. All PCs that I have ever touched never failed to play out on me. Home PC, Ex-workplace PC and Current PC! That's y I have decided. I have a BAD, A VERY BAD RELATIONSHIP WITH PCs. They just hate me. I can't believe this. I really can't. They just changed the hard disk to a 40GB hard disk. How can the PC do this to me??????????? Just when I needed it most. At this time. At this peak period. When I am rushing out everything before the financial year ends. Why?
Should I put this blame on someone else? Besides, they were the ones who asked me to uninstall my IE in order to get another system to run properly. What do you know? After I uninstall IE from Add/Remove Programme, System reboot automatically and Voila! System crash! I can't even login. The same error prompt kept repeating. He tried to ask me to press F8 a couple of times to go into safe mode. I can't even do that. The same error prompt kept repeating itself over and over again. My C:\backup. I need my C:\backup. I have 300MB worth of important emails and attachments in my personal folder in my backup. It's my bread and butter. Argh! Before I could even back up my C:\backup in another external drive, my PC crashed on me again. But, to back up I need to get a larger capacity ZIP Drive. 512MB to be able to back up all my backups. My PC don't have a CD-RW and the largest Zip my dept has is only 250MB. Do I get all the numbers correct? I don't care la. I am too vexed. I can't take it. I really hope nothing would happen to my hard disk. Let it be some software problem please. I need my hard disk. They'll be sending their technician over to my office. Please come early morning tomorrow. After much negotiation over the phone, they said they will try to send their technician tomorrow. Before the negotiation, in their email, they said they will try to send someone over within 2-3 working days?! Huh?! Crazy ah?! You were the one who asked me to uninstall IE which caused this crash and you still want to try and buy time?! Maybe I should not blame them. How would they know the PC would crash?
PCs just HATE me.
In a desperate move, I even called up the vendor to recall my old hard disk that he took away on monday i.e yesterday after my PC WAS well again. Little did I expect this would happen again. Nobody would right? Unfortunately, vendor said he had returned my old hard disk to the store. Which means, he would need to go back to the store to try and retrieve back my old hard disk. He said he'd try his best to retrieve it back. At least I am 1% assured he will try to help me. And if the current hard disk really can't be saved, at least I could get my data back from the old hard disk.
I was so vexed that I had the impulse to throw away 15-18 bucks to get home by the fastest mode, i.e by cab. But, I managed to restrain myself. Perhaps walking to the bus stop and taking the mrt, doing people watch could help me a bit.? What if the cab driver is the yakkity yak type? I don't need that at times like this. Not if they catch me in my foul mood. Sometimes it's refreshing to talk to the cab drivers. But not all the time. Not now! So, i passed on that and took my normal route home: Over the bridge-> bus-> mrt and bus. Does it do me some good? A bit with the help of the radio as well.
Argh! I still can't believe how unlucky I am!
Help! I need all the help they could offer me to save my hard disk! I am all messed up.
