met up with ling gu niang today. I am hai gu niang. and she is ling gu niang..haha8! the terms that we came up when addressing each other. Have not met up with her for almost a year! Had a great time as always with this crazy lady! Wacko forever! she is my x-kolik from my 1st job..more a friend than kolik..We were from the same team and we were ot queens! Do ot together. There was once, we worked all the way from 8am to 12midnight..and the next day, we started work at 8am again..madness huh? But it was fun! REally!
Can't believe ure still there ling gu niang!..it's going to be your 5th year with the company! i only stayed there for 2 yrs 2 mths! But she's doing very well..good for u! happy for u! but envious of your big fat bonuses! sighz...the thing abt private company, at least for this company, is that at the end of the year, the bonus is big and fat mind u! and i am not exaggerating..phew! This company motivates the staff with $$ and more $$..gd monthly individual performances=money as rewards! team performances = money! and the best, end of yr bonuses=BIG AND FAT BONUS! phew! I experienced that for one year only..couldn't believe my eyes at the sudden leap in funds in my pass book that year! hv never seen tt much money in my entire life and the first time ever that it's all mine! maybe the amount is mediocre to some but it's unbelieveable for average people like me..i sound so materialistic..but tell me honestly, who doesn't like $$?
i know by leaving that 1st job, i'd not experience that feeling of euphoria again..sometimes i do feel a tint of regret leaving that job if it's for the money..but i am not willing to work shifts anymore..so, i forgo it..and by leaving that 1st job, i took a pay cut also..in terms of allowances and all..life's about risk isn't it? No risk no gain. No risk no pain! And I miss my x-koliks! But most of my close buds have also left tho' in search of greener pastures..When we were still there, the culture was terrific..we were very united, it was warmth, we were like a family..but i can't say the same for the current situation. Actually, even b4 i left. the dept has grown so big and therefore more complex i must say...
What I can say is, you lose some and you gain some..and that the grass is not always greener on the other side...bleagh!
But I do wish my bank would suddenly be topped up again by leaps and bounds especially now when i need the $$!! gosh!!
