1. Do you believe that you can move a metal ring tied to a string suspended in air from North to South direction and East to West using the power of your mind?
You hold on to the string with elbows rest on the desk and you're not moving your hand, but you can move the ring and stop the motion, using the power of your mind?
2. Do you believe that a flimsy straw can go through the other side of a raw, hard potato with skin still in tact? Even if the flimsy straw does not go through the other side of the potato, do you believe that you can still poke the flimsy straw into the potato somewhat, perhaps 2cm deep?
Yes, you can do it. Magic? Indeed. Your mind is a powerful magical tool. You can do the above with the power of
YOUR mind. I did it and so did 19 other course mates yesterday during our 1 day training course : "Who Moved My Cheese." It was an exceptionally interesting, motivating and enlightening course.
Never underestimate the power of your mind.
What happened for the first activity was that, when your mind is focused, it sends energy i.e magnetic pulses to the tip of your fingertips and its the magnetic pulses at your fingertips that moved the ring in the direction and also stopped the motion when your mind instructed it to. The mind is therefore a very powerful tool. Think positively and you will therefore attract the magnetic vibes around you. Think negatively and you will attract the negative vibes. For example, you may suddenly thought of a long-lost friend and coincidentally you met him/her soon after..i think this has happened to almost everyone of us before, at least once..
For the 2nd activity, it's again about believing and resistance. If you resist that it cannot be done even before you do it, then you can't. It's all about change. Change in mindset. Change in attitude.
When you embrace change, you embrace life as Change is Life.
Resist it and you'll face even more difficulties.
Thought I'll just share this with you... the course was very enlightening and motivational for me..
And, my handwriting on the wall would be:
I must learn to be optimistic for every turn of events that occurred, Insya Allah.
