cards..i've been looking around at card designs.
I don't want to burn a big hole in my pocket when the cards will, eventually end up in the thrash bin, one fine day.
I like my cards to have the clean, simple look.
My sis brought back a wedding invite not too long ago. And, it was pure elegance. Cream with gold ribbon around it in a hard cover cream casing. Made in Indonesia. But if I were to mail out such cards, it'd cost me a tad more for the stamps since the cards weigh heavier than normal. But right now, I'm not even sure how and where to do up such cards. Mil will be asking her friend on my behalf. Thanks u mil! Then i'll decide if i wanna go along with this idea, IF and Only IF the moolah permits. If not, I'll just be contented with decent looking cheaper alternatives, cream or off-white at that.
I'm also thinking of making my own invites for the dinner part. With embossing and all. Would it be cheaper? Do I have the time? Hmm..yeah i guess since i have ard 7-8 more months to go. But I hope to confirm and finish the nitty gritty of everything 1 month before the day. And the last 1 month? I wanna concentrate on my gubahan and I hope not to meet him 1 month before THE day- the traditional me, hoping to adhere to the petua orang2 tua.. 1 month of not meeting up should not be too difficult since we've been trained for many many months now.
That is why we have to complete everything 1 month before, just to accommodate to my whims and fancies... ;P
But for now, all I pray for is for his safe return, come December, and his final return for good, in Mar 05, Insya Allah.
