my project for today:
wrapped the basket with cream satin cloth to fill them
berkats in, and adorned it with small white flowers at each side.
I think it's not very neat.Hmm..I'll try to improve on each of the other 5 baskets to go. Will try very hard.
I seek solace in handicrafts, especially when things are getting uber stressful @ work.
And so, I took 1/2 day today. I had to take a break, even if it's just for 4 1/2 hrs off work and recharged.
Went off to arab street to my
berkat vendor with my sis, mil. Placed an order for another
berkat I've had my eyes on.
Kak J is very helpful, showing me and coming up with ideas on how to adorn these other
berkats. Great!
Went into a few textile shops. This particular
kain is soooooo pretty..gosh!
I wanted to get it. But, mil banned me from doing so as I already have a few kain collection at home, still in its raw state, all bought from the same shop.
If I dream about it tonight, I'll go get it tomorrow. Me no care. It's retail therapy you know! Also, given its quality, the price is a steal.
There, I've enough reasons to get it. :P
Since I cldn't buy the other cloth, I got the cream satin cloth instead from a nearby shop.
And start doing it up, the moment I reached home. :)
Btw, baskets foc courtesy of mom's collection. And satin cloth, hell cheap.
Flowers = recycled. Teehee!
