i asked: so, will u miss corvallis? or are you missing it already?
him: No (a flat No)
me: really? but uve been there for 1 year 3 months and 13 days
him: cos' it's not home. Nothing beats home.
Me: Maybe if I'm there, then you'll call it home yeah. *winks*he's leaving tomorrow, for the 3 day stopover to Japan, before finally returning home for good. It's weird that I am the one feeling all melancholic for him, while he appears indifferent. Living in the apartment alone, without family members around and *me* (not shy), especially when night falls, isn't something that he quite relish, he said. It helps that his fellow counterparts with wives and kids in tow, often made his apartment their "port", hence allays that stab of loneliness for a while.
anyways, I fell in love with this small quaint town, during my short stint last July 2004.
Quiet, scenic, very laid-back - a place I would love to call my own, away from the hustle and bustle of this concrete city life.
