I would like to think I have quite a reasonable level of patience in me, before it reaches bottleneck level, before I spurt hot lava onto the surface.

Having been in the customer service industry for 2 years 2 months before, we were often subjected to customers raves and rants and their blasphemous languages against us. Since it does not involve face to face interaction, these nasty homosapiens could hide behind their voices and spurt vulgarities and scolding of sorts to us, their punch bags, the channel to vent their frustrations over a bitchy day at work perhaps. While we were rather immuned to this emotional abuse, other times we would cry buckets, especially when it is the time of the month, for being screamed at and attacked by the customers over their unhappiness with the company’s services. Hey, we are human too! At the same time, we are also trained to be patient, to detach ourselves as much as possible from such depressing situations. The emotional support we gathered from each other, helps save the day. Shift work, daily mental preparation of getting railed at by total strangers and talking to 100 or more customers a day, how much more depressing can it get? Except for the wonderful koliks, of course.

And today, I lost it. I was at bottleneck level. My patience has been tested time and again by a particular kolik, notorious for her not so responsible ways in handling her duties. And this time round, it involves a major issue: EXAM.
Great. No proper coordination, problem was left to GO to settle it, while she took leave. And a huge problem it was. Everything was hanging in the air.
How irresponsible can one get?
My No 1 pet peeve this has been and will always be: being irresponsible. GRRR.

On another happier note, it is exactly a month to the big day.
I am left with 3 more weeks at work, before I go for my long leave, something I so needed. Away. Just Away.
Meanwhile, new staff hasn’t come in yet. And I need to train the staff before I leave.

Okie happy thoughts now. Happy thoughts now.
