the breakthrough article, in my opinion at least, in BM 2 weeks ago that reveals
solat being akin to yoga was indeed an eye-opener to me..i was struck with awe, no kidding!Subhanallah!..HE who creates us knows the best way to keep our system in check through this daily ritual that is sometimes (most times?) carelessly hurried, by me....
I have always placed my hands on the tum, just below the chest during
solat. Of late, I've tried placing them on the chest instead and what a huge difference it made. Since the hands are placed on the chest, i could directly feel my heartbeat. I'd consciously and drastically reduce the speed of my readings to ensure the heartbeat slows down from its initial 300km/h speed, while at the same time i would be engulfed by this calming sensation and with that I could concentrate better on my
surahs and readings too. I have been guilty of hurrying in my readings and consequently my
solat. This simple act of placing the hands on the chest, turned things around most definitely.. Insya Allah..
The Prophet, Nabi Muhammad s.a.w, placed his hands on his chest during
solat:
'Tempat letaknya: - :
39. Diletakkan kedua-dua tangan diatas dadanya sahaja, lelaki dan wanita adalah sama.
40. Tidak di benarkan meletakkan tangan kanan dipingang.'

..just a humble opinion and experience....'m still learning...insya Allah...
