oh how they teared..
and how i shouted my voice hoarse, just when i was on the road to recovery over the several missed opportunities for that 1 miracle goal..they tried their darndest with just a 10-man team for 120 minutes but still no miracle goal..and as history has it, they've never won in any penalty shoot-out before and again, history unveils itself for the umpteenth time..and how they teared.. :S
my heart breaks when beckham had to leave the pitch cos' of his injury and then it ripped when rooney was thrown off the field by the only red card throughout the entire match, thanks to that instigator club mate of his from the opponent team. how
dirty..and yes, he deserved all the BOO in the world..it's a world stage anyways....that red card, it is entirely uncalled for... no beckham, no rooney, no owen. With no strong men, the loss is anticipated BUT there was still hope for that miracle goal...all hopes are dashed now.. but hey i was impressed by gerard's passing and performance..superb passing, but unfortunately not enough support.. darn.
and the opponent team, they should be ashamed of themselves for not scoring even with a full 11-man team during full-time and the extended time..hah!
it would have been a sweet win, and 2002 history won't repeat itself cos' IF
england had won that match, they'd be meeting
france, not
brazil...oh well..
brazil's loss, tt's a shock... was looking forward to watching them against
germany actually..but now tt the soccer powerhouse is out, i'll be at
germany's camp...
but forever an
england fan, i will be... :)
